Preparation of Nano-Iron Loaded Cassava Fibre Composite Material for Hexavalent Chromium Removal

Waste cassava fiber and tea polyphenols were used as carrier materials reducing agents, respectively, to prepare nano-iron loaded composite (CF-FeNPs). This work investigated the factors affecting removal of Cr(?) by CF-FeNPs under different environmental conditions mechanism. The SEM characterization results show that initial Fe2+ concentration increases, amount on surface material increases. increases content dosage can enhance rate. Meanwhile, decrease solution pH also beneficial for performance. When pH=2.0 is 10 mg/L, rate hexavalent chromium reach 81.4% within 2 h. reaction conforms pseudo first-order kinetic model. this study provide technical reference remediation treatment Cr(VI)-containing wastewater.
